Snow Bike!
Cale is a guy who definitely knows how to get the best out of bikes all year long. Check out some ridiculous snow bike antics on his season review over on the Team Pegasus page.

Velodrome for Cleveland
Looks like Cleveland is a step closer to getting a velodrome, after Fast Track Cycling Inc., entered into a purchase agreement with the city of Cleveland for a nine acre site on which to build an indoor track. Good news for midwest track racers. If only Chicago would follow suit. All the details are over on Fast Track's blog.

Sad News About Wilier
The last time I posted "sad" news about Wilier is was a rant about a guy destroying a rare frame, but this time it's actually sad news. The owner of Wilier, Lino Gastaldello (seen here with his son, Andrea) was killed last weekend during his regular Saturday morning ride when he was hit by a car. The 71 year-old was struck at about 10:30am and died in hospital a few hours later. Mr. Gastaldello was one of the people responsible for rescuing the grand old company from the doldrums and turning Wilier into one of Italy's best frame manufacturers, and will be missed by everyone involved with the company, Wilier fans (like me) and, of course, his family. More details here and here.
Revival Premiere at Boulder Indoor Cycling
If I was in the area, I'd go to this just to see what Boulder Indoor Cycling is actually like. I mean, I've posted about the place before, and it looks pretty mental, so I'd love to see it in person. Plus, Revival looks decent as far as trick vids go (and they used Fuck Buttons in the trailer, so there's that). I would like to see more Lucas Brunelle-style city race footage in these vids though. Hammering along a country road is grand and all, but hammering through downtown traffic is another. Anyway, if you're in Boulder, head over to watch the vid and maybe ride the track this weekend. Details here.

Crazy Cane Creek track wheel deal!
Cane Creek is unloading some inventory on eBay at some downright silly prices. The best thing I saw was their rear 85mm carbon track wheel for $250 (!).
Those retailed new for around $1800.00 a set!
Act fast though, there aren't many available!
Check out those and other blowout deals on they eBay page.
Thanks to Sage for the heads up!

Campy 75th Anniversary Jersey
Campagnolo produced 75 gorgeous jerseys in 2008 to celebrate their 75th anniversary. They weren't available for purchase, but were instead selectively given away. Well, jersey #09 has appeared on ebay. It's pretty amazing and if I were a gazillionaire, I might think about buying it for a second before realizing how absurd it would be to drop nearly $3k on a jersey.
Absolutely amazing none-the-less though...

RITTE VAN VLAANDEREN
So I don't know about you guys, but Team Ritte is quickly becoming one of my favorite non-Pegasus teams out there. They've nailed it with their slogan "Serious racers who don't take themselves so seriously.". I'm sure you've all seen some of the photos that have been floating around out there- they're so good!
Well they just posted some behind-the-scenes pictures and video from their most recent photo shoot:
Check it out!

OK, ok, ok...
For those who haven't quite mastered the trackstand yet
Do you tend to resemble a trembling newborn deer trying to take it's first step while trackstanding at stoplights? Then you might want to consider moving to Denmark- They have installed handrails with foot rests for cyclists in the city.
Such a simple and great addition for cyclists in Copenhagen, although it almost seems like they're thumbing their noses at those of us who would just settle for a couple bike lanes here and there...
Either way, kudos Denmark!

The foot rest reads: "Hi, cyclist! Rest your foot here... and thank you for cycling in the city."

Events!!
Yes, we're still alive! I just got back from a year in the jungle and Aaron is still sleeping off his NYE hangover, so things have been slow of late, but they'll pick up, I promise! In the meantime, here are some events happening near you. Go to them.
