Mud, Sweat & Tears

I have no connection to these races. I'm posting this here strictly because:

1: I love the poster.

2: The race idea reminds me of when Henry showed up to race BanditCross on his track bike.

3: The idea of cyclocross getting hip will drive a couple of people I know into apoplectic rage. Hi Josh!

Go here for more details.

Cyclocross is the new Track Bike. And the best part about this is that Josh knew this would happen and jumped on the bandwagon right in time!

I just need Ralph Lauren Purple Label glasses, and the deed will be full-circle. I can't atke all the glory - Kyle has a large play in this realm as well.

I think it is funny how the trendy kind of cycling shifts like this, from the NJS craze, to the street trick track bike thing, NHMBS seems to be pushing the envelope on the not-so-utility-but-insane-fancy city bike and the resurgence of love for cross. Reminds me alot of how suburban kids in the 90's were obsessed with BMX bikes, then roller blades, then skate boards and now back to BMX bikes. All the people selling their track stuff because it is on its way "out" should just save it for when it comes back.

I actually really like the idea of this NYC series thing, the name just makes it seem like they are trying to hard.

I think you're right Ben, stuff happens in cycles, no pun intended. Everyone's always looking out for something new and fresh, which is fine by me as long as people are out there having fun. Whether it's track or cyclocross, it seems that bikes are really popular right now, which is great.
