Saw a couple of great photos by Mike Bascombe of Meadowbank velodrome in Edinburgh over on Tracko the other day. Meadowbank is a historic 250m track, built in 1985 for the Commonwealth Games, and is where track legends like Chris Hoy and Craig MacLean started out. Unfortunately, Edinburgh Council voted to tear down the track in 2006, and people have been campaigning against the demolition since then.
