[update] I forgot to include this in the post last night, so here it is now. Click the image on the left, follow the link to this page and press the tiny play button over there. Yes! Hilarious, right? No? Oh. Well, I thought it was deadly. Now, mind, I'm not putting it on my phone or anything, but every few minutes I'll hit play and it makes me laugh. Did you say nerd?

Who's Your Pick for the Tour?

I'm going to keep it interesting and go with Kim Kirchen. You can keep your Cadel Evanses and your Denis Menchovs, Kirchen can sprint, time-trial and climb, and he's on a strong team. Okay, so climbing is his weakest area, but he's still pretty good at it. It's an outside chance, but I think he might do it...

Valverde!
I like Columbia a lot. I support your decision.
Having little knowledge on the event I just gotta support a team with Hincapie and a Track horse that just won a stage...
...I'm such a dork.
evans will win, but i don't really want him to. valverde seems too concerned with winning stages right now and (still) can't TT enough to be a GC contender. evans is looking long term and hasn't been using his team up at all.
kirchen's best finish would be top 3, he just can't (and won't) be able to hang on the big climbs that are coming up.
Kirchen in yellow and green now. Can he keep it up? Chris thinks not, and I agree that he's not a climbing specialist like Evans (snore), but he did a good job in the hills today... I'm really interested to see how he does in the high mountains, tomorrow being the first test of any merit.
