Maglia Rosa
Definitely the best looking Giro d'Italia leader's jersey in a long time. Wait, what? Designed by Dolce & Gabbana, you say? OH NO! The Giro sold out! Get that fashion out of my cycling!

Soldier Field Cycling Series Chicago
I just heard about a new series of crits happening in Chicago this summer, the Soldier Field Cycling Series. They're going to happen every second Wednesday, beginning in June and running till August. Great to see the sport is growing in Chicago, with established races filling up quick and new races being put on. This series should be great. Here are the official dates: 6/17, 7/1, 7/15, 7/29, 8/12, 8/26. If you're looking for more info, there will be some here, eventually.
Thanks to Adam from Team Beer'd for the heads up!

Chicago Track Season!!
This Monday, April 27th, marks the beginning of the track season in Chicago with the start of Northbrook's rider development nights! Every Monday and Tuesday night, from April 27th to August 11th, from 6.30pm to 9pm, Ed Rudolph Velodrome in Northbrook will be hosting excellent training and skill-building nights for track racers. All levels are welcome. The nights are run by Kevin Perez, who in addition to being a world class racer is a really nice guy. You really learn a lot at these nights, so I encourage everyone interested in track racing to head along and check it out. All the details are here.

The Keirin
No Brakes and Kazane present 'The Keirin' at Dick Lane Velodrome, Atlanta GA, on Saturday, May 9th. If you're anywhere near ATL, definitely do not miss this night of pro track racing. It will be brilliant.
[update] Chicago rider Josh Ryan, of the Bouledogue Tout Noir cycling team, has been invited to race The Keirin. Go Josh! Plus, due to a mess up with his team's kit order, he might be racing in Team Pegasus colours. We got us a ringer!

Paris-Roubaix = Carnage
Damn! Did anyone make it through the race without crashing at least once? And what the hell was going on with that motorbike slamming into the crowd?? Paris-Roubaix is crazy.

Riding the Rails Photos
Looks like the Riding the Rails alleycat in NM went well. Racers had to race through some checkpoints in Albuquerque, catch a train to Santa Fe, race through checkpoints there, and then catch another train back to Albuquerque.
Well done to the organizers for putting on such an imaginative race. More photos and reports here.

Koga Kimera!
Remember that bike Koga-Miyata designed for Theo Bos? The one that cost $1,000,000 to develop and was made with the help of rocket scientists? Fancy owning one? Got $5,000 lying around spare? Well, the story over on FixedGearFever is that the Koga Kimera will be available to buy, by special order only, from the end of April. Now this is one product I definitely need to review. Koga, I'll email you the address where you can send my bike. Cheers.
