I hate the winter in Chicago. I really do. Actually, to be fair, I like it up to a point. The first few weeks of it, the first snowfall, being cozy and drinking hot chocolate, all that's grand. But there very quickly arrives a point at which the pure, unmitigated misery of the cold far, far outweighs any of the quaint aspects of it. There's a level at which the cold feels like it's affecting your brain, when your entire skull feels chilled.
