May I Introduce...

... my new partner in irrelevant, throwaway blogging about track bikes, t-shirts and illegal street races: Aaron Dykstra!

Aaron on the left and me on the right, racing at Kenosha at Velocity 2006. Photo by the brilliant PeteD of Cog Magazine.

Even though he's at least as lazy as me, I think between the two of us we should be able to get some regular content going on here, and maybe even run a couple of giveaways, get some buttons made, who knows?

Changes

Big changes are afoot at Hipster Nascar. This blog is about to become a collaborative effort, and will soon be the ranting of not just one but two lunatics. You lucky people! Basically, I'm too busy getting coconut milk massages on the beaches of Fiji to do this thing by myself, so I've managed to con another work-dodger into joining the team. Between the two of us we might just be able to put a decent track-bike blog together...

FourteenTeeth

Apparently a guy called Coomer decided to aggregate the feeds from a bunch of track bike/fixed gear blogs, and he mistakenly included Hipster Nascar on there with quality sites like TrackosaurusRex and Urban Velo. Quick, check out the site before he realizes his mistake: FourteenTeeth!

Thanks, Blogger!

Hey! It's 6am or something and I've been drinking all night, so I thought I'd say thanks to the poor misguided people at Blogger who made me Blogger's Blog of Note for March 3rd, 2009. I can't help but feel bad for all those non-cyclists and roadies who were thus tricked into reading this website. Please carry on with your lives as normal. There's nothing to see here. No really, that's not false depreciation, there's really nothing to see here. Oh, except for a ton of Chinese spam!

Thanks anyway, Blogger!
