140rpm lol try 225-250rpm peak cadence. They can hit 225 no problem.
I just came back from a workout with some of those dudes at the local keirin track. Those rollers have no resistance on them but there is a load generator that can be attached that adds resistance or can be reversed, accelerating you and forcing you to ride a higher cadence.
They aren't cheap either. The plain jane unit is like 1250 bucks.
