Track season, in the midwest at least, is over. This is a problem. It's not like I was actually racing this season, but it means that I can no longer report about how the team are doing, or about how the races in Northbrook or Kenosha are unfolding. The weather in Chicago makes for a short season, so it sucks that the area doesn't have an indoor velodrome. Track racing is getting so big there now that the city could easily support one. Thankfully, some people are trying to make it happen, but it's going to take a lot of work. In the meantime, whenever winter hits, I'm reduced to looking at photos of track action from around the world. Thanks to Joseju for these great photos from Velodrome de Anoeta, Donostia-San Sebastian, in the Basque region. Let's keep our fingers crossed for an indoor velodrome in Chicago!
