Vandedrome for sale!

Anyone got a couple hundred grand I can borrow?

From fixedgearfever...
Vandedrome For Sale
The Vandedrome has been redesigned (with wider turns) and the steel understructure is now restored and powder-coated. It needs a new racing surface. We’ve been unable to find a site and our plans are at a standstill. The track is being offered to another group for only the costs of moving it to their site. This project has great potential and the costs to complete it are minimal. I am personally willing to further invest my time and knowledge to help someone else make a success with it. Please contact: david@majorleaguecycling.com for further information.

Thanks to Ed White for spotting this- see more pics from his set here.

Hey there, Simon.

Apparently, the Vandedrome will be making its home in Washington, DC for at least a few years. Major League Cycling in Lancaster owns it and will lease it to DC Velodrome, which might have secured a site. (That site happens to be a few blocks from where I live, and has been identified by the DC United football club as its preferred home for a new stadium.)

The DC deal never happened and the track is in storage.
