The Stairmaster

The final stage of the Tour Da Chicago: The Stairmaster - Saturday Feb 28th - 8pm - Chicago IL. The Stairmaster is a blast, definitely the funnest alleycat I've ever done. Get ready to shoulder that bike!

For all who participate in the Tour da Chicago please remember Matthew Manger Lynch who died while racing in February of 2008. Consider whether your choice is worth it.

As with everything in life, everyone should be responsible for themselves and stay with in their abilities.

There is no need to run lights in this race and a majority of it is not on the street.

Interesting that none of this is said for any of the other alleycats, I guess it only applies to the Tour Da Chicago.

Let's be honest here: the Tour is always going to be associated with Matt's death. I'm not surprised that there are people out there, probably people who loved Matt, who feel that the Tour is a bad idea, and want to make sure people are aware of the risks inherent, because they personally lost so much in that one moment.

I don't necessarily agree with all the comments that have been posted here by this anonymous person, but yeah, I think people should remember Matt, and should be aware of the dangers, and should only ride within their own limits.
